The People’s Empowerment Center is the key means to achieving sustainable development, freedom from colonized Western values and progression through understanding one’s own trauma through and multi-intergenerational trauma informed lens. It is with intent that this organization will lead Black Americans and those other persons who identify as a “Persons of Color” into empowering “The Self” through educational programming, mentorship, and guidance in understanding significant historical roots. Through the advancement of Black enterprise and intergenerational economic growth, The People’s Empowerment Center encourages the freedom of entrepreneurship and economic stability in those wanting to close the poverty gap. The People’s Empowerment Center encourages each member and participant to pursue the spiritual and mental health healing of intergenerational trauma through culturally rooted healing practices. We are a Social Change Center who values are based in a social justice and humanitarian effort to empowering Our Community. We seek to serve some of our most vulnerable populations within our inner-city neighborhoods with Our constituents donations. We offer Hope, Faith, and Empowerment towards change within our own City of Stockton as well as the Greater San Joaquin.

Established in 2018 TPEC Seeing a need for energetic, Black nonprofit in this area, formed our organization. We've consistently grown since then, all thanks to the helping hands of this amazing community that encouraged opportunities to align and receive services from People of Color, because Representation Matters! Our Community Matters! Our Founder RC Thompson is a lifelong native of Stockton. She is one of the many beautiful Black entrepreneurs, organizers, advocates, parents, and mental health specialist in the Greater San Joaquin Area who believes in the continued effort and advancement of People of Color. She envisioned a need for a Mecca of resources for Our most vulnerable and disadvantage community members, as well as bridging the gap to resources and linkage to other successful People of Color! It is her vision that we continue to be mindful, compassionate, diligent, and unmovable in Our Right to gain equity, prosperity, and transcendence in the World today.
To support and promote the empowerment of all vulnerable persons of color struggling with racial disparities and injustices by progressing towards economic development, spiritual enlightenment, and mental health awareness.
